Wild Hare Decor celebrates 6th Anniversary

We will celebrate our sixth year anniversary on Friday September 30th and Saturday, October 1st. The anniversary celebration includes food, drinks and surprises for everyone. The first 50 visitors will pull a balloon and receive an opportunity to win gift certificates, discounts and merchandise. These certificates will expire at the end of October of this year.

“It has been a fun filled learning experience,” says proprietor Beth Dager. She continues: “The enjoyment from all the people I have met has been very rewarding. We promoted our store with the tagline “Design and Decor with Personality” and I think we have accomplished it. The store’s merchandise has evolved not as a reflection of styles or trends but more of a reflection of the personality of our customers. How fun!”

Wild Hare Decor is honored for retailing excellence by Home Accents Today Magazine

Wild Hare Decor, located at 10124 Auburn Park Dr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana has been named one of home Accents Today 50 Retail Stars for 2010 by editors of the premier trade magazine for the home accents industry. The stores selected have demonstrated that they operate successfully in the marketing areas, exhibit strength in merchandising, display and/or advertising, and have a positive presence in their local communities.

Home Accents Today editors focused on independent and family-run retailers, specifically those considered specialty, home accent or home furnishings stores. Members of the industry were invited to suggest stores and retailers were encouraged to submit information describing their businesses. This list was compiled and narrowed down be research analysts and editors of the publication.

“Home Accents Today is very excited to reveal the 2010 Retail Stars,” said Jenny Heinzen York, editor in chief. “Retail is a challenging profession, even in the best of times, but this year’s stars represent the very best of creative entrepreneurship, and we hope that this inspiring group of stores will serve as a reminder to everyone to support innovative local businesses.”

The 50 Retail Stars feature is published in the May 2010 issue of Home Accents Today and was sponsored by Americasmart Atlanta. Wild Hare Decor was the only Indiana store chosen.

Turnstone Annual Gala is coming soon!

On June 17, 2010 the Board of Directors of Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities will host its 10th Annual Gala at the Fort Wayne Country Club. This event is Turnstone’s largest and most important fundraising event of the year. Its proceeds account for more than 10% of the agency’s annual operating budget. This year it is their goal to raise over 375,000 through event sponsor ships, ticket sales, live and silent auctions. These dollars will fund turned stone’s therapeutic services such as physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy, which are provided for children and adults with disabilities.

Turnstone is the only nonprofit in the region/in your community/which offers physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy to children and adults with disabilities on a sliding fee scale. Your generous support of Turnstone allows them to continue to provide the important programs and services for children and adults in our community living with disabling conditions.
